The National Foundry Technology Network
(NFTN) Senior Project Manager, Isidore Kilongozi represented the network at the
AFSA International Aluminium Conference – a global aluminium event that
reinforces relations between the local and international aluminium industry.
Kilongozi’s insightful presentation
focused on how aluminium sand-casting foundries can improve productivity and
become competitive by implementing Lean manufacturing, a concept which means
doing more with less and removing excess waste.
The AFSA International Aluminium
Conference took place from 26-27 October 2022 at the Cape Town International
ICC in Cape Town.
