“The development of the National Careerpath Framework resulted in national curricula and qualifications being developed. A process is now in place where learners are able to experience theoretical in class learning as well as practical training in a simulated training facility such as the WCIF Green Training Foundry Centre. This allows learners not only to gain the necessary knowledge but also to actually practise the manufacturing process, gaining hands-on working experience within operating foundries such as Atlantis Foundries”.
