The corporate governance structure of the NFTN is a steering committee made up as follows:
The NFTN’s delivery model is based on industry needs as a key driver (Figure 1). The NFTN coordinating office is overseen by a steering committee consisting of a number of entities, namely the South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF), the Aluminium Federation of South Africa (AFSA), the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), as well as three industry representatives.

NFTN Delivery Model
The key ingredients of NFTN interventions are to:
- have volume impact – increasing the take-up and reaching all parties, and
- achieve quantifiable business benefits – benefits within individual participating companies.
